Britt Bair's "Babbling Brook" Artist Talk @ HAYVN Coworking Space

Last fall, Britt Bair loaned her painting "Babbling Brook" as part of the RAC @ HAYVN exhibition in the lobby of this coworking space in Darien, CT at 320 Post Road.  Members of the Rowayton Arts Center (RAC) have been participating in group shows since its opening two years ago. As with all things 2020, RAC filmed a virtual Artists Talk to share since group events were on hold. Watch the video on Vimeo here to learn more about Britt's process creating her abstract expressionist paintings.  This piece is now part of Britt's solo show "Expressions in Color" until July 6 at 1027 Post Road, Darien right next to Grieb's Pharmacy. Load in day was extra fun for Andrea Letters as Art Annex CT rented a truck to transport large paintings from Britt Bair's house in Rowayton to 1027 Post Road in Darien for her solo show.     Excited to share the news that Art Annex will be presenting a new exhibition, “Britt Bair Art: Expressions in Color,” on view June 10 through July 6 at 1027 Post Road in Darien. Presented by Art Annex CT, this is the first solo show of abstract art in Connecticut for Rowayton artist Britt Bair. Britt Bair is an abstract expressionist artist who works in acrylic, mixed media and oil, mixing vibrant colors to create her own visual language.  Her work has been selected for exhibitions at galleries, museums and other local venues. She is a member of the Silvermine Artist Guild, Rowayton Arts Center and the Carriage Barn Arts Center in New Canaan. Her work may be found in private collections from California to New York.  She is represented by Gallery 104 in NYC, Geary Gallery in Darien, CT, Avondale Arts in Watch Hill, RI, Louisa Gould Gallery in Martha’s Vineyard, MA and Hazel House in Vero Beach, FL. Ronnie Gold Solo Show October 22 through November 20, 2020

Excited to share the news about the opening of Ronnie Gold's solo show "Color Burst: Pastels and Paintings" presented by Art Annex CT Thursday, October 23 from 5 to 7 pm. Meet the artist and enjoywater views at 112 Rowayton Avenue, Rowayton CT (corner of McKinley Street, parking available across the street or in the Fairfield County Bank parking lot). COVID regulations apply. This is the first solo show for Ronnie Gold. Ronnie paints in pastel, acrylic and water-based oil. Her work is primarily non-objective and abstract, although nature is often a point of departure as well as inspiration for her work. Color becomes the central force as Ronnie works through a painting with the play of mark making and gestural lines adding texture to the surface. She is also passionate about the medium of pastel as it allows her to work intuitively and spontaneously.  Ronnie earned a BFA from University of Colorado and attended Tyler School of Art in Rome, Italy.
